Well, I took all manner of safety precautions bordering on
paranoia.
For starters, I split my money among the various pockets of my
cargo pants... so no matter what, muggers can't get more than
RM100.
I also brought a small medical kit which is always in my small
backpack which I always lug around.
In addition, I brought a spoilt dummy handphone... so if I do get
mugged, I can hand over the dummy phone (which is in a small
pouch... I'm betting that they won't stop to check that it
works).
On top of that, I have a special pouch strapped onto my left
calf... containing another RM100, a Medik Awas card, directions to
the Singapore High Commission, and my SAF 11B as a secondary form
of identification.
